For commercial projects over $50,000 and/or a change of use, a pre-lodgement meeting will be required a minimum of three weeks before the formal lodgement of the building consent.
At this meeting building officers will identify issues such as access, fire, and other areas for which you may need to talk to further Council staff members before you lodge the consent.
The pre-lodgement meeting
At the pre-lodgement meeting a building officer will check that you have the Building Consent Lodgement Checklist (BC78) and help you understand how to complete it.
What you should bring:
- Site plans
- Floor plans
- Fire safety report
- Any other information you think will help us understand the project
