My principal place of residence is not in the Nelson City Council - At Large area.

Do you share my vision for an inclusive, safe, and sustainable Nelson?

My priorities include: prudent stewardship of finances and assets, wise investment in

infrastructure, community facilities and services, providing decent affordable housing, advancing realistic transport solutions, and protecting our natural environment.

I am an active and committed councillor with an exemplary attendance record.

I've made strong contributions to many committees and working groups. I've chaired the Planning & Regulatory Committee and Nelson Biodiversity Forum during my two Council terms. Most recently I've been on the Community Services and Sport & Recreation Committees.

Prior to serving on Council, I was the Nelson Bays Police Area Commander before leading an international team of officers in Afghanistan. In 2013 I retired from the Police after 35 years' service.

My strengths are my strong commitment to serving the public, broad experience, consistent and responsible leadership, and ability to listen and work in partnership.
