Temporary Road Closure Brook Street/Westbrook Terrace

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Fulton Hogan to temporarily close the following road/s to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:

Brook Street/Westbrook Terrace - between Seymour Avenue & Robinson Road (and all side road intersections)

Date and time of scheduled closure: Monday 20 January to Friday 31 January 2025 – 7:00 am to 6:00 pm

Contingency dates and times when closure may occur: Saturday 1 February to Friday 28 February 2025 - 7:00 am to 6:00 pm (the road would be closed for ten days only within this timeframe – weather dependent)

The closure is for chip sealing (resealing the surface of the road)

Vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will be affected by this closure. Work will begin on Brook Street, with access provided via Westbrook Terrace, and then vice versa.

As work progresses along the road and the first layer of chip has been applied, resident access will be managed by onsite staff. Delays are likely.

No roadside parking will be available. Rubbish and recycling bin collection will be managed by onsite staff and pedestrian access will be provided safely.
