Temporary Road Closure - Kawai Street South

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Donaldson Civil to temporarily close the following road/s to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:

Kawai Street South - between Motueka Street and Tukuka Street intersections

Date and time of scheduled closure: Monday 19 August - 7:30 am to Friday 30 August 2024 – 5:00 pm (this is a 24/7 closure – including weekends)

Contingency dates and times when closure may occur: Included (work is expected to take one week)

The closure is for installation of new sewer and stormwater connections to 163 Kawai Street.

Vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will be available. Short delays are possible. Roadside parking will be available – except for within the work zone marked on the map below. Rubbish and recycling bins will be collected as normal and pedestrian access will be provided.
