Temporary Road Closure - Russell Street, Retone Street, Valley Heights Road and Lucas Terrace

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Fulton Hogan to temporarily close the following road to ordinary traffic for five days between the dates listed below: 

Russell Street – Washington Road to Stanley Crescent 
Retone Street – full length 
Valley Heights Road – full length 
Lucas Terrace – full length 

Date and time of when the five-day closure may occur: Tuesday 1 November to Wednesday 30 November 2022.  Closed between 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.   

The closure is for road levelling work. Updates regarding when the work will take place will be updated on shape.nelson.govt.nz. 

Delays are likely. Vehicle access for residents, couriers and home help will be available where possible. Rubbish and recycling bins will be collected as normal.  

Pedestrian access will be provided.
