Temporary Road Closures - The Cliffs, Malcom Place and Whitby Road

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Fulton Hogan to temporarily close the following road to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below: 

Stage One 
The Cliffs – between Whitby Road and number 20 
Whitby Road – between Richardson Road and number 31 
Malcom Place – entire length 

Stage Two 
The Cliffs – from number 73 

Date and time of when closure may occur: Monday 20 March to Wednesday 22 March 2023.  Closed daily between 7:00am to 6:00pm.   

Contingency dates and times when may occur: Wednesday 22 March to Friday 24 March 2023. Closed daily between 7:00am and 6:00pm. 

The closure is for road resurfacing repairs. Updates regarding when the work will take place will be on Shape.Nelson.govt.nz. 

The road will be closed.  Vehicle access for residents, couriers and home help will be available where possible, but delays are likely.  

Rubbish and recycling bins will be collected as normal.  

Pedestrian access will be available.
