Nelson City Creative Communities Local Arts Funding Scheme
Funding for arts and cultural projects which create community benefits within the Nelson City wards.
Each year Creative New Zealand provides funding to local authorities based on a per capita basis to support arts initiatives in the community. Nelson City Council currently receives just over $46,000 for grant allocations through the Creative Communities Scheme criteria over two funding rounds, which close 1 September and 1 April each year.
