Approved Temporary Road Closure - Hardy Street - NIGHTWORKS

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Downer/Powertech to temporarily close the following road/s to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:

Hardy Street – at the intersection with Rutherford Street (on BOTH sides of the intersection)

Date and time of scheduled closure: Sunday 30 March to Monday 28 April 2025 – 6:30 pm to 5:30 am (Nightworks– the road will be open during the day)

Contingency dates and times when closure may occur: Contingency for wet weather is included in the dates above.

The closure is for trenching across the full lane width for traffic signal upgrades

• During the night, vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will be available via a signposted detour. Delays are possible
• The road will be open during the day (5:30 am – 6:30 pm)
• No roadside parking will be available. Rubbish and recycling bins will be collected as normal and pedestrian access will be provided safely.
