Approved Temporary Road Closure - Waimea Road - NIGHTWORKS

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Fulton Hogan to temporarily close the following road/s to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:

NIGHTWORKS

Waimea Road - between the West and East intersections with Beatson Road.

• Including the intersections with Ulster Street, The Ridgeway, Chings Road and Tuckett Place

Date and time of scheduled closure: Sunday 6 April to Friday 11 April 2025 – 7:00 pm to 7:00 am (Nightworks)

Contingency dates and times when closure may occur: Saturday 12 April to Wednesday 30 April 2025– 7:00 pm to 7:00 am (Nightworks)

The closure is for road maintenance.

• At night: Vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will be available via the Beatson Road detour (both directions) and from the Whakatu Drive/Waimea Road Roundabout end of the work site. Please observe the road signs and follow the instructions of onsite staff. Delays are likely.
• During the day: Normal access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will resume from 7:00 am each day.
• No roadside parking will be available. Rubbish and recycling bins will be collected as normal and pedestrian access will be provided safely.
