The Nelson central watermain upgrade is scheduled to take place from late March through to the end of June 2025.
This essential infrastructure project will mean diversions of several bus routes and temporary closures of certain bus stops.
Affected bus routes and changes:
Route 1:
- Will be diverted to use Rutherford Street
- Bus stops in Selwyn Place and Collingwood Street will be closed
- Please use the Bridge Street Interchange as an alternative.
Route 4:
- Will be diverted to use Selwyn Place
- Bus stops in Collingwood Street will be closed
- Temporary bus stops will be placed in Selwyn Place by Hope Street.
Route 3:
- Will be diverted to use Haven Road and QEII Drive
- Bus stops in Trafalgar Street will be closed
- Temporary bus stops will be placed in Wainui Street by Sails Motel.
