(Proposed) Temporary Road Closure - Beatson Road - NIGHTWORKS

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Fulton Hogan to temporarily close the following road/s to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:

Beatson Road – at the eastern intersection with Waimea Road

Date and time of scheduled closure: Wednesday 9 April to Friday 11 April 2025 – 7:00 pm to 7:00 am (Nightworks – the road will be open during the day)

Contingency dates and times when closure may occur: Monday 28 April to Wednesday 30 April 2025 - 7:00 pm to 7:00 am (Nightworks – the road will be open during the day)

The closure is for road maintenance and is part of the Waimea Road works.

  • At night: Vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will be available via Waimea Road (where there will be temporary traffic lights) and the western entrance to Beatson Road. Please observe the road signs and follow the instructions of onsite staff. Delays are likely.
  • During the day: Normal access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will resume from 7:00 am each day.
  • No roadside parking will be available. Rubbish and recycling bins will be collected as normal and pedestrian access will be provided safely.

To understand how this closure could impact residents/businesses, Council is seeking feedback on this proposal by 7 April 2025
