Youth Development Fund

Nelson City Council has six Youth Development Fund grants of $500 per year for individuals who are Nelson residents living within the Nelson boundaries.

The fund assists 15–19 year-olds to attend Outward Bound, Spirit of Adventure voyages, Whenua Iti Adventure Skills Development course or similar residential leadership and development programmes.

Young people can apply for a grant in conjunction with other funding providers, after being accepted for a programme.
