An Orange heavy rain warning has been issued for Nelson this Thurs 3 April. Prepare for heavy rainfall and the possibility of rapidly rising rivers, streams and surface flooding. All vessels are to reduce wake so not to affect the shoreline or berths in the area in Nelson Harbour bounded by:

line from red pile #3 to the disused jetty on Haulashore Island.
line from red pile #6 to the South end of Main Wharf.

This is due to repeated safety concerns with excessive wake created by motor vessels over 12metres.
