Out and About - on Tracks Strategy

The Out and About - on Tracks Strategy provides clear direction for the planning of front country off-road recreation within the Nelson City boundaries.

Following the 2022 update of the strategy, the Track Advisory Group was established and meets regularly. It includes representatives from biking and walking groups, Council, Department of Conservation and other agencies. Its purpose is to oversee strategy implementation (e.g. prioritise and decide on new trails). For more information contact trails@ncc.govt.nz
