Heavy Rain Warning - Orange

An Orange heavy rain warning has been issued for Nelson this Thurs 3 April. Prepare for heavy rainfall and the possibility of rapidly rising rivers, streams and surface flooding. Please clear gutters and roadside grates to keep storm drains clear. We will share updates here and on our Facebook page.

Maungatapu Track

The track is open to 4WD vehicles, motorbikes, walkers and cyclists. Access by vehicle requires a key as there are two gates to pass through between the Maitai Dam and the Maungatapu Saddle. Please contact the Customer Services Centre to arrange this on 03 546 0200.
