Temporary Road Closure - Parkers Road

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Fulton Hogan to temporarily close the following road to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:

Parkers Road - between Pascoe Street & Bolt Road

Date and time of scheduled closure: Tuesday 7 January 2025 – 7:00 am to 6:00 pm

Contingency dates and times when closure may occur: Wednesday 8 January to Friday 31 January 2025 - 7:00 am to 6:00 pm (the road will be closed for one day only within this timeframe – weather dependent)

The closure is for chip sealing (resealing the surface of the road)

Vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will be very limited for a few hours on the day of work – including access to Beatty Street.

As work progresses along the road and the first layer of chip is applied, resident/business access will be managed by onsite staff. Delays are likely.

Please note - there will be no access from the Bolt Road Roundabout – all access will be managed from the Pascoe Street end of the closure.

No roadside parking will be available. Rubbish and recycling bins will be collected as normal and pedestrian access will be provided safely.
