Temporary Road Closure - Torlesse Street

Nelson City Council has received a proposal from Nelmac to temporarily close the following road/s to ordinary traffic between the dates listed below:

Torlesse Street - between no. 33 and no. 53 

Date and time of scheduled closure: Monday 26 August 2024 – 7:00 am to 5:00 pm

Contingency dates and times when closure may occur: Tuesday 27 August to 30 August 2024 (one day only - weather dependent) - 7:00 am to 5:00 pm

The closure is for tree trimming (several trees) - requiring the use of large vehicles.

Vehicle access for residents/businesses, couriers and home help will not be available between no. 33 and no. 53 during the closure due to the one-way/narrow nature of the road. Delays are likely. No roadside parking will be available along this section of the road during the closure. Rubbish and recycling bins will be collected as normal and pedestrian access will be provided if/when safe to do so.
